VITA: Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
VITA is being run through Goodwill Industries for Elkhart County, and through Catholic Charities for Noble and LaGrange Counties in 2024.
The VITA Program offers FREE tax preparation and filing services to households who make $64,000 or less and need assistance preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals in local communities. Taxpayers will also learn about tax credits for which they may qualify.
