Lantern: Partner with Us to Empower Families

Welcome, Community Partners! Lantern, formerly known as Bright By Text, is a national nonprofit dedicated to delivering high-quality early childhood and family resources via an innovative text messaging platform. We are excited to collaborate with organizations like yours to support families and young children in our community.

Lantern specializes in providing childhood development resources to parents through text messages. Our mission is driven by a passion for making a meaningful impact, and we approach our work with authenticity, integrity, and optimism. By partnering with us, you can help ensure that every child has the support they need to thrive.

How You Can Get Involved

We invite community partners to utilize Lantern to send free messages about valuable information, resources, and events. Parents and caregivers will receive 2-4 messages per week. Here’s how you can get involved:

To share information about your events, please provide the following details:

  • Date
  • Time
  • What it is
  • Purpose of the event (message must be 140 characters or less)
  • Link for registration
  • Type (education, health, etc.)
  • Language (English/Spanish; need more time if translation is needed)

United Way requires that event information be submitted 3-4 weeks in advance for CRUW to review and upload to Lantern. One week prior to the event, Lantern will review the information, with a minimum of 72 hours needed for this review. Finally, Lantern will send out the text a specified number of days before the event.

Join Us in Making a Difference

As we grow, we aim to enroll more families and engage more community partners in sharing important messages. If your organization would like to enroll your caregivers and/or send texts to families, we’d love to collaborate! Use this form to submit messages or reach out to us directly to get started. Attached is a postcard that you can use to enroll new families. Our goal is to reach our audience of caregivers of 0-3 year olds through the collaborative grant with Building Strong Brains and Early Years Initiative, and the platform has resources for birth through 18 in multiple languages.
